In 2002, Yuiko released her debut album, "Chiheisen ue no tooi kane." Her mysterious, healing, and limpid singing voice, which would take listeners to a different dimension, was spread widely by word of mouth and burned into a certain circle's consciousness. In 2004, her second album, "Kessho," was released. "Rikunohitoyo" was used in a TV commercial; by being heard by the mass of people, she gained some hard-core fans. After that release, Yuiko, who has become a mother, completed this album, "felicity," spending two years on production. Its concept is "Only more purely beautiful part of, and felicitous music." The album title, "felicity," was named with wish of filling melancholic days up with a sense of happiness, at least by music. Her voice that is softer and deeper than ever gives the impression of peaceful power that would arouse the life force. The Australian ambient musician, Don Peyote, was welcomed as a producer in this work and the album is completed with plenty of natural feeling, by layering delicate and deep sound image with field recording. Also, it includes the wonderful track recorded and arranged by Don Peyote, adapted from Yuiko's basic track.

"Only more purely beautiful part of, and felicitous music." I've produced this album only because of the eagerness to explore the essence of that. The more I got down to that, the closer it got to the "natural sound." Living in a big city, living out, working, parenting and doing housework... I thought that I needed such music in those busy days. It was an urgent necessity for me. Music could change the atmosphere in a split second. It could link my intuition. As I tried to express 120% of the sanctity of the music, the sound naturally got formed. In the sound that we, the adult, listen, there is a song that children would be pleased. Especially the little children like such music that is 120% purely and joyfully played. Beautifully, modesty, and felicitously. There won't be anything happier to me if this album serves to make the listeners feel great and cheerful in some small way.

Born on December 9, 1977, in Tokyo. She began piano lesson at age 5 and developed her absolute pitch. During her junior high school years, she joined the choir and also stuck on rock and punk music. She also loved drawings and thought to become a cartoonist at first. At the time, sleepless nights made her experience rooted and hallucinated sometimes. These supernatural phenomena made her believe that there would be something in common among dreaming, listening to the music, smelling and praying. At the age of 20, though she joined punk rock band as a back-up singer, found that that's not what she was searching for. One day, she was inspired by the moon and thumped out on the piano. That was the very first original note for her as a creator. Now she wants to create music inspired by visual images that would inspire people of visual images, just like telepathy.
